Connect. Heal. Grow.

We at Life After Burns acknowledge that our gatherings are held on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, the Wendat peoples, the Mississaugas of the Credit, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Mรฉtis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.

We pay our respects to the Indigenous Peoples who have been guardians of this land, and who have suffered loss and adversity. We extend our thoughts to those who have experienced the trauma of burns and recognize the courage and resilience of burn survivors, the dedication of their caregivers, and the strength of their loved ones. May our gatherings be imbued with the spirit of healing, community, and mutual support that is reflective of the enduring legacy of this land and its people.
