“I was coming back from a nightshift. When I reached home there was no electricity due to load-shedding (when electricity is intentionally turned off in certain areas for a period of time to prevent the entire power grid from failing.)
I lit a candle and dozed off, I guess due to fatigue. When I woke up, the whole room was on fire. I suffered 3rd degree burns. My hands are the most affected but I can still manage a few things. I did 11 surgeries and there's been a positive progress.
My name is Kleinboy Sibanyoni, 28 years. I was 25 years when the incident occured. I have two daughters. I am a boilermaker(plater) artisan by qualification. I AM A BURN SURVIVOR.”
